Sure hope you all had a wonderful Holy Day Season filled with love and laughter, I know we did here in the Bog.
It has been pretty chilly here, even a light dusting of snow...so on Christmas Eve, we all gathered at the church house, round a huge bonfire, ate some delicious cake, drank some yummy hot chocolate then sang “Happy Birthday” to Jesus. We warmed ourselves around that crackling hot fire, then wrapped blessings of food, clothing, candles and toys, delivering them to critter families who had fallen on hard times. Seeing the grateful smiles, the giving of wonderfully big hugs and love we all felt was truly the best present we could give or receive.
On our way home, with only stars and our candles to light the way, we were reminded of the real Light of the world, Jesus, who would now lead, guide and protect us if we would accept Him, trust Him and obey Him. What a priceless treasure He gave us. It truly was a Holy Night. Even though the long walk back was dark and cold, each heart was warm with gratitude for the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate Him.
So from all the Bog critters and myself, we wish you His blessings of love, peace and joy, now and in the New Year.
