Hello Bog buddies!
April is one of the most exciting times of the year with the freshness of the Spring season arriving! Spring is a time for growth, new life, and new beginnings. Daffodils and Tulips break through the earth and bring light and color in our dreary Winter landscapes. It is a promise of new and exciting things to come, it is the promise of hope. Hope means: “To want something to happen”. This month we learn about what happens to our hearts when we lose hope, through the cruelty of being teased. Sometimes we are teased in school, by our friends or even family. This is hurtful, and as we watch Rumbly Bummble live through the heartache of being teased by the mean sheep, we also learn what compassion means. Compassion means to be sympathetic to others’ distress or hurts. In this story the mean sheep were given warning about their cruel teasing but they chose to be rebellious and not listen. They continued their bad behavior and eventually GOD stepped in and taught them a lesson. This shows us several things: when GOD warns through other people we should stop and listen or there may be consequences, and also that we should be kind and loving to our friends, school mates and family. Being mean never ends well, and the Bible warns against it. Showing love and empathy for others is what Jesus taught. Our lives are so much richer when we live with love and kindness.
